Text us first, even at night
Most dental emergencies happen when the office is closed. At Creekside Dental Care you do not have to wait until morning to find out how serious a problem is: text a photo and a short description to 916-723-4777 and the team replies with next steps. Many questions can be answered from a photo alone, the way tele-dentistry works.
Common emergencies we treat
- Toothache and throbbing pain
- Cracked, chipped or broken teeth
- Lost fillings and crowns
- Abscess and swelling
- Wisdom tooth pain
- Teeth that need to come out
What to do until you are seen
Rinse with warm salt water, take an over-the-counter pain reliever as directed on the label, and use a cold compress on the outside of your cheek. Avoid chewing on the painful side. Do not put aspirin directly on the gum, because it can burn the tissue.
If swelling is spreading quickly, or affects your eye, breathing or swallowing, go to the nearest emergency room.
